How Does Light Wave Therapy Work?

Our system delivers carefully controlled pulses of light at a specific wavelength designed for therapeutic use. This light interacts with targeted tissues in the hoof to support natural physiological processes involved in laminitis recovery.
The Science Behind It
Research in equine and veterinary phototherapy suggests that certain wavelengths of light may influence cellular activity, microcirculation, and inflammatory mediators. Our LightWave therapy system supports and promotes these processes, encouraging natural repair and alleviaton of symptoms.
What a Treatment Session Looks Like
Sessions typically last around 20-25 minutes for all four legs and hooves including stimulation of the lymphatic system to maximise effectiveness. They are calm, non-invasive, and well-tolerated. The device is applied externally with no discomfort to the horse, and most horses relax during treatment.
